A Directory of Trained Specialists

Welcome to the Compulsive Problematic Sexual Behavior & Partner Trauma Association.  Our website provides a directory of professional counselors, social workers, marriage & family therapists, psychiatrists, and members of the clergy who have gone through rigorous training.  Compulsive problematic sexual behavior (CPSB) is sometimes called sexual addiction or hypersexuality.  It often disables men and women, disrupting their families and careers.  It is well researched and recognized by the world health organization as compulsive sexual behavior disorder.

The individuals listed in this directory have been through rigorous training with national experts in the field.  All clinicians have gone through a consultation/mentoring process with qualified supervisor/consultants.*  Members of the clergy who received pastoral training have been interviewed and work in approved settings.  To qualify, all had to work under supervision or be directly accountable to someone in their church/religious organization.

PLEASE NOTE: CPSBPTA does not endorse any certified clinician or pastor and assumes no responsibility or liability for any work that they do.  Certification means that they have completed a rigorous training and mentoring process.  We are not responsible for anyone listed on this website.

*The type of supervision clinicians have been through is a peer mentoring relationship with someone able to guide a clinician in improving professional skills.  It is not a supervision for state licensure and no mentor assumes responsibility for a clinicians work.

Three certifications are recognized through CPSBPTA:

Certified Sexual & Relational Recovery Specialist (CSRRS) – This is for mental health clinicians specializing in treating CPSB and betrayal trauma in partners & families

Pastoral Sexual & Relational Recovery Specialist (PSRRS)  This is for pastors, coaches, and those who address spiritual issues in their church or ministry setting.  All are under supervision or accountability from their church or organization.

Christian Betrayal Trauma Specialist (CBTS) – This is for clinicians holding the CSRRS credential who have completed additional rigorous training in betrayal trauma.
